NEOM CITY

AI-Driven Cognitive Construction Management Platform

SAUDI ARABIA

This engagement focused on discovery and product definition for an AI-driven construction intelligence platform designed for one of the world’s most complex smart infrastructure programs. The core challenge was scale and complexity. NEOM required a single decision layer that could unify fragmented data coming from thousands of assets, devices, and sites while remaining usable for executive decision making, not just operational monitoring.

From a product management perspective, the primary problem was not data availability but decision overload. Construction leadership had access to large volumes of sensor data, camera feeds, drone imagery, and reports, yet lacked a reliable way to translate this into timely, trusted decisions. I led the discovery to define a platform that shifted the organization from manual reporting and reactive reviews to AI-driven, predictive oversight.

The value of the platform was anchored in measurable executive outcomes. AI models were defined to continuously assess progress, safety, productivity, and risk across multiple sites and portfolios. Executive dashboards were structured around a limited set of high-confidence metrics, including portfolio progress versus plan, AI-detected delays, safety compliance trends, asset utilization, and early risk indicators. Leadership could move from portfolio-level health views to site-level visual evidence in seconds, reducing review cycles and dependency on manual status updates.

What was distinct about my contribution was the translation of highly technical capabilities into a product leaders could trust and use. I shaped how AI outputs were presented, how metrics were validated against source evidence, and how drill-down flows worked across projects, sites, structures, and devices. The platform design combined AI-assisted 3D and 4D BIM views, drone-based progress comparisons, and predictive risk signals into a single coherent experience, aligned with enterprise governance and long-term scalability requirements.
